(1)I believe what is mean here is something to the effect of "Why do we exist," not "Why are we here [in this land of trials]." (2) Because this song is sung in English with a very thick Japanese accent, I'm not entirely sure if the "a" is actually there. I believe it should be, though. (3) Again, because it is a very thick accent, and because the lyricist may not have been entirely fluent in English, the extraneous "the" has been included. (4) This section is obviously a chorus, so I assume the words are repeated here. The words are only semi-understandable.
